Has held top management positions, including State Party Chairman and Campaign Chairman for profirearms candidates for local, state and national office. Testifies before legislatures, makes many appearances on radio and TV and before audiences, supporting gun owner's rights. Vietnam veteran; member, several state R&P associations; National Trappers Association; Izaak Walton League; active hunter; licensed pilot; NRA Benefactor member. As an extremely successful NRA president, Kayne's legacy is his vision - Free Hunters - a program designed to protect the national health of hunting, to restore and maintain ready access to hunting areas and remove governmental obstacles that exist to restrict and even destroy our hunting heritage for future generations. As First Vice-President, Kayne supported President Charlton Heston during his unprecendented 5 year term by assuming many of the day-to-day administrative duties of the president, leaving Mr. Heston free to advance NRA as only he could - in the public eye. Mr. Robinson was re-elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2005 for a 3 year term and passed the NRA presidential gavel to Sandra Froman. |
